Welcome to issue four. This is still a young publication, but a lot goes into every issue. This time around you will meet an Anesthesiologist from Little Rock, a Detroit punk/noise/rap musician, a multi-instrumental Central High teacher from Conway, a politico-horror rapper and librarian from Little Rock, a visual artist from Missouri who is also our fantastic cover model for this issue, and a new series we are starting that features Netflix Reviews.

I can count at least half a dozen bands Chris has been in, and those are just the ones I can remember. He is currently an active member of Ginsu Wives, Fancy Animal, Don't Cry Paula, The 4817 Crew and whichever other old group he decides to revive at any given moment. He is a passionate teacher, an avid reader, and an obscure film buff. Much like the other people you will meet in this issue, Chris is not just talented, but also very motivated and productive. You can find Chris's music online by searching any of his band's names.

This is a great person to meet. She is very unstoppable and her work is quite vivid. She studied at UALR in Arkansas, but now lives and works in Missouri. Martice has a distinct approach to art that is very tactile in the sense that she is always looking for new ways to combine various materials into her work. Her art combines all sorts of stencils, stamps, prints, and digital graphics. Just check it out for yourself and and you will see. She also does workshops, so if you are into what she does, then you might consider getting on her mailing list at MarticeSmithArt.com

This guy is a big deal, even though he is relatively unknown to most people. He joined Atari Teenage Riot, the intense German band that defined digital hardcore, with their label of the same name. He has music out on Stones Throw Records, which is one of the most respected hip hop labels. He worked and toured with renowned poet Saul Williams and infamous Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor, on the Niggy Tardust album and tour. He embodies punk, industrial and hip-hop simultaneously and in almost equal measure. He was a lot of fun to interview!

This is the guy I mentioned in the intro as being a Little Rock librarian and rapper. He would likely question us calling him a politico-horror rapper, but he used to be known for shocking stage antics and lyrical topics. His father is from Africa, mother from South America, and he was for a long time considered a British citizen. Although his music can be challenging, he is actually just a really cool dad who works at the children's library. He is a unique character who can really grow on you.

This is a bit of a unique interview for us. We have never interviewed a doctor before, but there is a lot of style and technology involved in the practice of medicine. In this case, Dr. Stevens is an anesthesiologist from UAMS hospital in Little Rock, and a really good one! He also has a deep love for classic hip-hop and music in general. This article is part of the effort to not just give you variety, but to explore other people's vantage points in the world. You get to experience the perspective of all different kinds of people in this issue, and we were delighted to interview Dr. Stevens!

Marie Stevens is the voice behind Artofhousewiving.com, a lifestyle blog, documenting great food (that sometimes falls on the floor), fun travels and random television shows. Follow her on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest. We look forward to her returning to contribute more pieces like this in the future! If you are wondering if she is related to Dr. Mark Stevens...nope, sorry. We hope you enjoyed this issue! We covered a lot of diverse personalities. Check back in two months for the next issue, and follow us on Facebook if you want to.
